1001 Hillsborough
About This Project
1001 Hillsborough Street is a three-story condominium building located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Construction was completed in 2002; the building’s classic architecture marries well with the long-standing adjacent structures. Directly across the street from historic Saint Mary’s School, the building is a creative use of urban infill. The structure consists of concrete floors over open web steel trusses supported by wide flange spandrels and girders. The building is supported on shallow foundations and lateral loads are resisted by concentrically braced frames.
